About Counseling
Counseling reduces emotional distress, increases self-awareness, fosters satisfying relationships, improves problem-solving, and promotes well-being. I’m confident we all have the potential to move forward, heal, and grow. My passion is to help you decrease your anxiety, sadness, and anger and to assist you where you would like to see relationship changes. I help you make progress where you are stuck or in a difficult place.
My style is respectful, compassionate, nonjudgmental, nurturing, and practical. I put a high priority on confidentiality as we work together on your goals. I draw from psychology, nursing (I am a Registered Nurse), spirituality, and personal effectiveness strategies. I consider ways that physical well-being and psychological well-being influence each other. In addition, I am an expert in relational dynamics. My years of study in these areas allows me to assist clients holistically. I have found that using my wide knowledge base with clients opens new vistas for change that had not previously been imagined. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness principles. I vary my therapeutic approach depending on your personality and the problems you present. I also draw from my successful marriage and parenting experiences to help you improve your family relationships. I invite you to contact me if you are ready to engage the process of therapy and discover hope.
